Skippy Blair on Contemporary Social Dance: Disco to Tango and Back/Plus Teacher's Breakdown for the Universal Unit System (Book and Cassette)
Published in Hardcover by Golden State Dance Teachers Association (December, 1978)
Author: Skippy Blair
Average review score:

Clearly explains the basic premises to learn all dances.
First written 20 years ago and later updated, this book clearly explains the basic premises to the understanding and study of any dance form, new or old. Ms. Blair stresses that rhythm differentiates the dances from each other. Thus anybody will have no problem learning any dance. For me, it was a rediscovery of the dance principles which I had always known for decades yet had simply taken for granted. The book has given me a new perspective and renewed creativity in dance teaching.

The Stories of I.C. Eason King of the Dog People
Published in Hardcover by University of North Texas Press (May, 1996)
Authors: I. C. Eason and Blair Pittman
Average review score:

Last of the Dog People
I originally stumbled across this book when I typed 'Eason' in the computer at our local library while randomly searching for books. When I read the description I knew that these were my relatives. My family is from all over Texas from before it was a part of the US. This part of the family is from East Texas. My Grandpa Eason last lived in Thicket, TX.
I give this a 5 star rating, not because I'm a relative, but because it is rich with the history and language I know from when I lived near Houston 30+ years ago.

Best book around on southcentral Pennsylvania
When my grandma saw this beautiful book, she wanted to move back to Harrisburg where she was born. I just keep picking this book up and looking some more. The essays and pictures of the Susquehanna River and the towns along it elicit pride and nostalgia for rural/small-town Pennsylvania

Syncope: Mechanisms and Management
Published in Hardcover by Futura Pub Co (15 January, 1998)
Authors: Blair P., Md. Grubb, Brian Olshansky, and Brian Clshansky
Average review score:

essential reference for anyone with autonomic dysfunction
This book is a valuable guide for patients grappling with autonomic dysfuntion, and also for their relatives. Several different classes of sycope are covered in detail. Many patients spend years trying to get a correct diagnosis, and after diagnosis, they struggle to find some helpful therapy. Many family practice physicians may see a patient with prodromal symptoms for years before referring them to a specialist. This work helps explain why these problems are often brushed aside.

Techniques in Hand Surgery

Average review score:

Well organised;Helpful to practising hand surgeons.
The impressive thing about this text is its format: every chapter devotes a section to the history of the probem, treatment options, post-op rehab & outcomes. This allows the reader a well-balanced look at each topic. It's more than a "how I do it" book.
